The second-generation Kia Seltos reaches North York Kia this summer, with a hybrid version to follow by the end of 2026. Kia lengthened the wheelbase by 60 millimetres and grew the body in every direction, which adds 25 millimetres of rear legroom and headroom. Cargo space behind the front seats now reaches 1,817 litres, enough for hockey bags, a stroller and a week of groceries in one trip. Torontonians who commute on the 401 and head north on weekends get a vehicle sized for both.
Three engines cover the lineup: a 2.0-litre four-cylinder with IVT for LX, EX and EX Premium, a 190 hp 1.6-litre turbo with an 8-speed automatic for X-Line and X-Line Limited, and a 1.6-litre hybrid with a 6-speed dual-clutch gearbox. The hybrid can be ordered with e-AWD, which uses an electric motor to drive the rear axle when traction drops. Dual 12.3-inch screens, over-the-air updates and a full driver-assistance suite are part of the package.
